Why drone delivery?
Drone delivery is much faster, cheaper and more environmentally friendly than traditional delivery services. This opens up home delivery for many more people.
Can I get drone delivery?
Right now the service is available in the area around Ski, but we are constantly expanding. Download the app to be notified when drone delivery becomes available for you.
What do you deliver?
Today you can order food from selected restaurants, groceries and over-the-counter medicines (Through KyteButler you can also request anything you can't find in the app).
How do I order?
Download the "Kyte delivery" app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Place your order and watch the drone come flying with your package.
How does delivery work?
Our drones take off from our base and fly at 100 km/h to your location. The package is then winched down from a height of 60 meters before the drone returns to base.
What weather conditions can the drone handle?
Kyte drones reliably operate in rain, wind, thunderstorms and extreme cold. The service may be limited if weather conditions become too demanding.
Is it safe?
Kyte has completed over ten thousand successful flights and has flight permission from the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority, where we meet a long list of safety requirements. Even though incidents are highly unlikely, the drone is equipped with multiple safety systems, including a parachute. Our operators monitor every flight and are ready to take over control of the drone when needed.
